KISSIMMEE, FL— The Travelodge Hotel Main Gate East will become a Holiday Inn this September. In the interim, it is operating as the Fun Spots Hotel.

The property was a Travelodge for 21 years and was the brand’s largest property in the world.

The soon-to-be Holiday Inn Main Gate East, an official Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel, has already completed a significant portion of its $10-million transformation that began in January.

The 444-room, full-service hotel features two high-rise towers with more than 4,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

As one of the final phases of the conversion, the lobby will be reconfigured by eliminating a number of walls to create an open floor plan that encompasses a new kids’ theater, front desk area and lobby lounge. With the new floor-to-ceiling windows, the lobby bar and lounge will open into an outdoor trellis-shaded patio overlooking a tropical garden and pool area.

The hotel is part of the Westmont Hospitality Group.
