THE START OF A MULTIMILLION DOLLAR TRANSFORMATION
New 445 Room Resort to Feature
new rooms, meeting space and interactive Pool Environment
Kissimmee, FL, - February 22, 2007- The Travelodge Hotel Main
Gate East, an Official Walt Disney Good Neighbor® Hotel has
begun extensive renovations expected to be completed in early
summer 2007. The conversion designed by Houston, Texas, architectural
and design firm Mitchell, Carlson and Stone, transforms the
World’s largest Travelodge Hotel to a New Holiday Inn Hotel
which will be a premier resort located just 3 miles from Walt
Disney World® Resort.
The new Holiday Inn Hotel Main
Gate East, transformation will encompass a new exterior façade,
lobby, lobby lounge, guest rooms including bathrooms, restaurant,
pool area and meeting facilities which will create a dynamic
new look and feel that will surely take the hotel to a new
level.
New additions to this massive
overhaul will include a fitness center, children’s theater
with special preview movie times, business center,electronic
and interactive game room, kid’s suites and High speed internet
access through the entire hotel.
The hotel lobby floor covering
will be a combination of Mediterranean tiles with an embedded
winding pattern made of various stones that will lead guests
to the different outlets. Each of the 445 spacious guest rooms
will encompass a décor which is elegantly abstract and unambiguously
functional.
The most electrifying part
of this transformation is the pool and recreation area. Surrounded
by tropical trees and lush gardens the pool area will be outlined
with brick pavers through out the deck area and will compliment
the new pool tiling, and water slide.
The rock wall will have a
cascading water fall that will captivate guests from the moment
they arrive on site. “In keeping with the Mediterranean theme
the New Holiday Inn Main Gate East will revamp the current
meeting facilities to include a pre-function area, 4000 square
feet ballroom and state of the art boardroom,” said Thomas
Gualano, area Director for Westmont Hospitality Group. Our
new look and facilities will enable us to offer more than
just a plain meeting we will offer an experience.

East is located at 5711 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway,
